De Groene Os Fish Omega Dog/Cat 250 ml is a fish oil that is rich in the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA, to support various important functions in the body of dogs and cats. The two most important essential fatty acids for dogs and cats are EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid).

EPA is important for the heart, blood vessels, airways and communication between nerve cells. DHA has a major influence on the proper functioning of the brain. Sufficient DHA ensures good concentration and better learning performance. Due to the presence of DHA in omega 3, this fatty acid is recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

Dogs and cats have little or no enzymes to convert essential omega-3 fatty acids from vegetable oils into EPA and DHA. That is why it is important for them to be offered these fatty acids from animal sources. Linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid of the omega-6 category, is usually found in excess in food.

Natural vitamin E has been added to Vis Omega to improve shelf life.
