The composition of Puur Glucosamine Extra is different for dogs/cats than for horses/ponies. The composition for horses includes ginger. Horses accept this well. Unfortunately, dogs accept ginger less and this has been left out. The composition for dogs contains Boswelia .

Properties per ingredient: Glucosamine (as glucosamine sulphate 2 KCl) is the easily absorbable form of glucosamine and is good for building cartilage in the joints. Contributes to smooth movement

Chondroitin sulfate Chondroitin sulfates are building blocks for the production of cartilage. It is good for the synovia (joint fluid) and therefore ensures good lubrication of the joints.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is an essential nutrient for joint tissue, so it is important for joint function.

Calcium citrate is important for bone formation, it regulates the acid/base balance in the blood and ensures strong bones.

Magnesium citrate is important for bone strength and has a relaxing effect.

Selenium (as L-methionine) is an important antioxidant and has a cell-protective effect.

Iron (as fumarate) good for many metabolic processes. Iron is good for connective tissue. For a quick recovery.

Zinc (as -L-methionine) is good for cartilage synthesis. Horses should preferably not be given in combination with too much muesli, as zinc is less well absorbed due to the presence of phytic acid in muesli.

Manganese (as -sulfate) is part of various enzymes, in particular glycosyltransferases. These are good for the production of glycosaminoglycans in the cartilage. If there is too much phosphorus in the diet, the absorption of Manganese is disturbed.

The optimal dosage 2 x daily:

Horse 1 scoop

Pony 2/3 scoop

1 scoop contains approximately 9 grams.

When your horse or pony is walking smoothly again, you can reduce the dosage to once a day.

If it is difficult in practice to administer this product multiple times a day, 1 time per day or 1 time every 2 days is sufficient. Then give the maximum dosage of one day. Even then this product can be used effectively but the reaction may take a little longer.

Administration can be given through the food. Moisten the powder so that it is not blown out of the food bowl.

Advice for use Observe the animal's reaction carefully. Give it the necessary rest, but also ensure movement. If it is painful when moving, it is wise to regularly take the animal for short walks. Straight movements in particular are good for keeping the joints supple and strengthening ligaments and tendons. Abrupt stops and turns, such as playing with other animals, should be avoided. This puts too much strain on the muscles, tendons and joints.

Duration of treatment The effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, a maintenance dose can be used. This is usually half of the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, carefully observe the animal's reaction. A higher dosage may be necessary at the beginning; this product can safely be given in double dosage. Gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dosage. This product can be given permanently for chronic complaints. It is advisable to insert a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. This way, the 'stimulus' can be offered again after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if the complaints require it.

Storage Avoid direct sunlight and store this product dry and at a temperature between 5-20C. Keep out of reach of children. The expiration date is stated on the label and the box.
