Beaphar Timothy Hay 1 kg is supplementary food for rodents, a tasty and healthy type of hay for rabbits and rodents such as guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Timothy Hay has a high crude fibre content, good for teeth and digestion. It also has a favourable Calcium-Phosphorus ratio. Timothy Hay therefore fits into a balanced diet.
Most types of hay are based on alfalfa and contain quite a lot of calcium. In terms of composition, Timothy hay is most suitable for rabbits and rodents. Timothy hay contains a high fibre content (32%) and a low calcium content (+/- 0.5%). This favourable calcium-phosphorus ratio prevents bladder problems in guinea pigs and rabbits, among other things.
